Late at night you see a lot of crazy infomercials for fat burning pills and powders that sounds too good to be true. Take this eat that and be thin overnight. It is this kind of too good to be true idea that makes you think that foods that make you lose weight are cut from the same cloth. But in reality there are a lot of real foods that make you lose weight. It is true. Of course that doesn't mean that all you have to do is eat a magic food and you can still sit around on the couch and eat mcdonalds all the restr of the day. You still have to put in some work. But these foods can give you a little extra edge. And when trying to lose weight sometimes it is that extra edge that is all you need.
One of the foods that burn fat are cayenne pepper. This pepper can help to acutally work thermogenically to raise your metabolism. It is a great addition to your diet. Another is grapefruit. Of course grapefruit has vitamin c like a lot of sitrus fruits but it also has an acid that can help to mobilize fats and flush them from your body. That is the extra edge we were talking about. Green tea has also been shown to help in fat burning. It is easy to think that it is just the cafeeine content in the tea that helps but the antioxidants actually are beneficial at specifically targetting fat.
